About Me

My story with community didn’t start in a boardroom — it started when I was 12 years old.

As a young girl in Girl Guides, I learned early what it meant to show up for others, to give my time, and to be part of something bigger than myself. I didn’t know it then, but that experience would shape the rest of my life.

Nearly four decades later, at 51, volunteering is still at the core of who I am — not as a “nice idea,” but as a way of living, leading and building organisations that truly serve people.

That early sense of responsibility, belonging and purpose never left me. It grew into leadership, strategy and a deep commitment to helping others build something that lasts.

Why Purposeful Partnerships

Purposeful Partnerships exists because I’ve lived the reality of community leadership — not just the theory.

I’ve been the volunteer.
I’ve been the founder with a big vision and no roadmap.
I’ve been the leader responsible for people, funding, compliance and impact — all at once.

When I founded Cancer Support Angels, I quickly learned that passion alone isn’t enough. Without clear structure, systems and strategy, even the most powerful missions can struggle to survive.

Purposeful Partnerships was created to help charities, NFPs and community groups move from overwhelm to clarity — and from survival to sustainability.

What I Do

I help purpose-driven organisations turn intention into action.

That includes:

  • Creating clear, achievable strategy

  • Building systems that support volunteers and leaders

  • Strengthening fundraising, sponsorship and income streams

  • Developing governance and operational confidence

  • Mentoring leaders to grow with clarity and confidence

Everything I deliver is practical, realistic and built to be used — because real impact happens in implementation, not theory.

My Philosophy

I believe:

  • Volunteering is the heartbeat of strong communities

  • Purpose deserves professional systems

  • Strategy should simplify, not overwhelm

  • Leaders need support just as much as the people they serve

When heart and structure work together, organisations don’t just survive — they thrive.

Let’s Build Something Together

If you care deeply about your mission, you shouldn’t have to figure everything out on your own.

Whether you’re at the very beginning or ready to grow into your next chapter, I work alongside you — not above you — to help you build something sustainable, ethical and aligned with your values.
